Looking for more help for my children

I am currently in receipt of child benefit and tax credits. I have been finding that i am struggling on this though, i have been looking into other possible funding such as grants or other benefits but i am struggling. I was searching for grants for autistic children uk as my son is autistic but i could not find any private funding. I put in a claim for disability benefit but i am still waiting for a decision on this. I have been told i could be waiting up to 6 months for this! i don't have that much time, i cant afford to wait. I was hoping i would be able to get some money towards specialist equipment or something or special toys for him. I also need some help getting him into a good school, i have found a specialist school for him but again it is very expensive and i will not be able to afford it on my own. I am looking for any kind of help there is really. Thank you.
