Looking for some help getting my son into a different school

I am looking at the moment of moving my son to a different school. He is at a normal primary school at the moment but we are moving house and where we are moving to the closest school is 6 miles away which would make life pretty difficult for getting him to and from school. There is a private school a bit closer but we didn't even consider this because we would not be able to afford it. I have been looking around now at possible grants and funding. I have been searching for scholarships and grants for juniors but i have not been able to find much that would be of any use to me. I do hope there is some sort of award or grant available because it would make life a lot easier on us and it would be an amazing school for our son to go to. I have also looked at potential lottery grants and stuff but i have not found anything that applies to individuals. I hope someone can help.
