The Most Memorable Day in My Entire Life - Unforgettable

The D-Day had finally arrived. After so many preparations for almost a year the day had finally arrived. Our marriage was supposed to taken place in one of the famous temples in Kerala - India. It was such a famous temple and the muhurtham i.e. time of the wedding there were at least 20 other weddings at the same time and place. One could just imagine the crown that would have appeared there for the twenty weddings. We had to reach there early morning and get dressed up for the occasion. The temple was really crowded and one would get lost in that rush. Never mind about all the worries of making sure you have the wedding rings etc - we have all this to contend with to! The pandit would call the names of the bride and groom and both of them have to come forward and put the garland on each other. Here some of the names are common. It was time when my name was called then the grooms name was called and he came forward. I had bend my neck for him to put the garland, and suddenly one thought came into my head and I just looked up. To my surprise I saw that was not my man! I just screamed - actually what happened was that the name of my groom and another one was the same so this man had come forward. Then the boy who had come forward also saw me and soon everyone realised what had happened. Then after that the actual groom - my husband came and we were wedded happily. I will never forget this in my entire life.
